Make Along with Shar: How to make a card using Crystal Art Space Stickers

Hey everyone!

I’m so excited to share with you my latest blog, it seems such a long time since I last did one! I hope you are all keeping well, staying safe and looking forward to Spring and hopefully some warmer weather! I know I am, I just love spending time outdoors, taking inspiration from nature. I also have a hobby which a lot of people don’t know about - I love star gazing! My hubby Glenn bought me a telescope last year, which also explains why I chose this project as my blog. 

I’ve been very busy making samples and also designing, one of my latest designs was the Space Superstars Crystal Art Stickers. I absolutely loved drawing these super cute designs and then watching them come to life! They are quick easy to make, perfect projects for younger children and can be used in so many different ways - on phone cases, books, pencil cases, mirrors, tiles and so much more! I decided to use a couple of my favourite ones (yes! I know I shouldn’t have favourites 😂) on a card.

 

Here is what you will need to recreate this card:

Crystal Art Space Stickers

Craft Buddy Geometric Gems Stencil

Craft Buddy Alpha Script A5 Stamps

Craft Buddy Finger Daubers

Craft Buddy Stamping Card

Craft Buddy Black card

Silver Foil card

Black 8x8 card

Craft Buddy Premium Glue

Embossing ink pad

White Embossing Powder

White ink pad

Distress Oxides in Black Soot

                              Seedless Preserves

                              Chipped Sapphire

                              Mermaid Lagoon

Paint brush

Water

Kitchen Roll

 

Steps:

  1. Make up your chosen Crystal Art Stickers following the instructions included in the kit
2. Peel them off, stick onto silver foil card and carefully cut out
3. Take your 8x8 card, mat and layer silver and then black card. Glue onto your 8x8 card
4. Using your stamping card, take your finger daubers, blend the Distress Oxides firstly in Mermaid Lagoon and then Seedless Preserves, all over the card.
5. Take your stencil and very lightly around the edges blend through with the Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide
6. Using a paint brush and a little water “splat” all over the card
7. Take a piece of kitchen towel and place over the card, gently rub over to lift off the ink
8. Cut a mat of this card to fit on top of your other mats and glue in place (keep the off cuts)
9. Using the Alpha Script Stamps, stamp out your chosen sentiment onto the left over off cuts using the embossing ink pad, pour over the embossing power and then heat emboss
10. Trim them down and arrange on your card along with your stickers and secure using our premium glue
